Police believe, Muhammad Hafiey Qayyum Mohd Syazwan, 4 arrived at Putrajaya Hospital in an unconscious state and was given an emergency treatment at the Critical Zone after falling from the 14th floor.

Putrajaya Hospital pronounced Muhammad Hafiey dead at 10:10am due to internal bleeding.

The Putrajaya Coporation (PPj) was urged by The Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) to revise the structural safety of all the housing buildings in Putrajaya.

Its Minister, Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim said this following the rising number of recorded cases of children falling off buildings in Putrajaya.

Commenting on the incident, Dr Faudziah Abd Manan, 54, a retired lecturer (right), said she feels angry towards the negligence of the deceased child’s parents.

“Parents should never leave their children alone, they should lock their house and bring their children wherever they go because anything could happen such as short circuit fire, burglary and drowning,” said Dr Faudziah.

She added, “I suggest parents and even pet owners to install grills at their homes to prevent this unfortunate incident from occurring again.
Nur Amalin, 25, a café employee (left), thinks a child under the age of seven should never be left alone.

“A child below the schooling age should be under a supervision of an adult, be it the parents or an appointed babysitter, said Amalin.

Fatin Nabilah, 21, a communication student (right), stressed that the Putrajaya Coporation should not be blamed at all and the child’s parents should be blamed absolutely.

“The child is still very young and children like that should be under the supervision of their parents at all times,” added Fatin.

Previously, a similar case involving a four-year-old girl falling off from an apartment took place at the Civil Servants Housing apartment in Precinct 14, here.
